August TBR

I’ve got a lot of fun things I want to read in August—but as my TBR piles up higher and higher I’m going to try to prioritize.

First I have 6 August ARCs to complete—four of which release August 6th (yep, great planning on my part). Then I’d like to get ahead on my September ARCs, because I have 11 to go (three are very short graphic novels or children’s books) because I have zero impulse control and everything looks so shiny and pretty on NetGalley.

But I also have some library books to read too, and some books I own that I want to read.

I want to make September a themed month of reading—into Sci Fi & Fantasy September, but first I need to read my ass off in August (which, now that I think of it, most of the things I want to read in August are SFF).

Can I do it?

Or will life catch up, snatch my in its jaws and shake me like a rag doll?

We’ll see.

Considering that we’re closing on a new house, moving and I’m starting a new job in August, I’d recommend placing the bets on life winning.

I’m not sure which one I want to read the most? I know The Dragon Republic is going to rip my heart into a million pieces, but damn I just want to jump on that shit. I’ve heard amazing things about The Lady’s Guide to Celestial Mechanics and I just want to jump all over a good sapphic romance (there have been so many coming out!!), and I’m super intrigued by The Rage of Dragons and Do You Dream of Terra-Two? But also House of Salt and Sorrows has had some really interesting reviews and I wants it.

Ugh how to choose?
