I was tagged by Passionately Pursuing for this tag, um, a month ago, and I’m finally joining in!
A book that a certain friend is always telling you to read:
Hazel’s Theory of Evolution by Lisa Jenn Bigelow.
A book that’s been on your TBR forever and yet you still haven’t picked it up:
*laughs in TBR* oh wait I have to actually pick one? Parable of the Sower by Octavia Butler.
A book in a series you’ve started, but haven’t gotten around to finish it:
I’m horrible at starting a series and not finishing it. The Stone Sky by NK Jemisin and The Fiery Cross by Diana Gabaldon. It has been two and three years, respectively, since I read the previous books, and it’s time. Likewise with Dust by Hugh Howey.
A classic you’ve always liked the sound of but never actually read:
The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas. I’ve heard nothing but fantastic things but that 1300 page count is…daunting.
A popular book that it seems everyone but you has read:
Priory of the Orange Tree by Samantha Shannon (I DNF’d around 250 pages in), and Crescent City by Sarah J Maas (no desire).
A book that inspired a film/tv adaptation that you really love, but you just haven’t read it yet:
I can’t really think of one?
A book you see all over Instagram but haven’t picked up yet:
Normal People by Sally Rooney (again, no interest?) and How to be an Antiracist by Ibram X Kendi (#56000 on the waiting list).
